Oh, Mexico
It sounds so sweet with the sun sinkin’ low
The moon so bright likes
to light up the night

Puerto Vallarta
Puerto Vallarta is known as “The Friendliest City in the World”. From Golfing courses that over look the mountains of the Sierra Madre, to Snorkeling/Diving the Banderas Bay this place has it all! Whether you want to relax on the beach with a delicious Margarita , shop , enjoy an art festival or take part in exciting water adventures, everything is an option in Puerto Vallarta. Other good news about traveling to Puerto Vallarta is that it wont break the bank account! I found traveling to Puerto Vallarta to be one of my most cost effective vacations.

Cozumel

Cozumel, Mexico is infectious! Surrounded by alluring crystal clear waters all different shades of blue .. you wont be able to take your eyes off. This stunning island is located in the Caribbean Sea along the eastern side of the Yucatan Peninsula. Cozumel is Mexico’s largest Caribbean island! There are hundreds of restaurants on the island loads of hotels, a vibrant night life (Senor Frogs is a blast!) and more water activities than you could even fit into one vacation.
During my visit I couldn’t resist trying out some of Cozumels Top Excursions. Para-sailing for the first time was outrageous and boy am I hooked!! There is no better way to really see an island than from up in the air. My favorite excursion was the famous Tucan Sailing Trip! Through Cozumel Sailing (www.cozumelsailing.com) I set sail on a truly unique sailing adventure to the remote northern beaches of Cozumel. The “Tucan” is a very spacious 35′ trimaran. The boat holds up to 28 people, but they make the limit 16-17 passengers so there’s plenty of room to move around!
Our first stop on the trip was to go SNORKELING! The crystal clear water was a shade of blue like I’ve never seen before. After snorkeling we went off to a breath taking private beach on Isla de Pasion wherethe chefs served up mouth watering arrachera beef fajitas, grilled right on the boat! Plus you’ll want to try the veggie pasta salad, chicken wings, refried beans, flour tortillas, pico de gallo and their ever popular guacamole. The food was EXTREMELY delicious and I don’t think anyone on the trip had less then two servings! Did I mention that on the Tucan the bar is always open 🙂 . I must say that these were the best drinks of any open bar excursion I’ve ever been on! Also, the crew was very attentive and always had your next drink on hand.
I stayed near the cruise ship docks and there were many blocks of stores selling all types of souvenirs cigars, jewellery, t-shirts, tequila, and a large variety of inexpensive souvenirs! There are many restaurants that give you a variety of different cuisines and you have to check out downtown Cozumel, home to several bars, cinemas, stages and restaurants. Whether you’re the type of traveler who is looking for extreme adventures or some relaxing beach time along the white pristine sand, Cozumel is an ideal vacation choice!
