My Amazing Tropical Stay In The Mauna Lani Resort and Spa in Hawaii
Being a Travelista has given me a lot of opportunities to experience the uniqueness of many destinations. However, I always find myself loving my stay in tropical destinations more, especially if I get to stay in a beautiful resort with amazing views, hospitable staff, and fun activities right on resort property. In this blog, I’ll be sharing my stay in the Mauna Lani Resort and Spa in The Big Island of Hawaii.
The Big Island
This might come as a surprise for first-time travelers, but Hawaii has six major islands that visitors can explore. These are Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, Lanai, Maui, and the island of Hawaii – or The Big Island of Hawaii. Each island has its own unique features, from activities to resorts. For instance, Maui is well-known for the Haleakala mountain peaks and The Big Island for its active volcanoes and coffee farms. There’s one thing that they all have in common, though: they have breathtaking views and rich beaches that everyone just can’t seem to get enough of.
After choosing the best island for your Hawaii trip, your next challenge is choosing from the many exquisite resorts surrounding the island itself. One such resort that we thoroughly enjoyed during our visit is the Mauna Lani Luxury Resort in Hawaii!
Mauna Lani Resort and Spa in Hawaii
This resort is located along the dramatic Kohala Coast and in the center of the five great mountains. It’s said that some of the greatest Hawaiian royalty had been captivated in the same shores that Mauna Lani is located. And with our wonderful stay there, we experienced first hand how truly captivating the whole place is.
Why We Love Mauna Lani Resort
We had an overall amazing experience in Mauna Lani! The location is incredibly exquisite, with beautiful sunrises and sunsets that you can enjoy while savoring the delicious food and drinks.
The staff had been very hospitable and attentive to all our needs, making our stay even more convenient. Also, it’s super easy to rent a car and get around nearby tourist spots — not that there aren’t any activities that you can experience on the property itself. In fact, you have the chance to play golf in Hawaii’s finest golf course of lava bed terrain with kiawe trees in the North Course. For adventure, visit the historic Kalāhuipua’a, try out Kainalu Ocean Sports, explore the resort’s 32-acre oceanfront property filled with culture and heritage, and fill your taste buds with delicious cuisines by taking on culinary adventures.

Accommodation-wise, we have no complaints at all! A++! Two thumbs up!
And since it’s also a spa, don’t forget to rejuvenate your body and mind by immersing yourself in their authentic farm-to-spa experience Auberge spa. You can also join this experience with your partner since they have treatment rooms for couples too. They also have a tennis and fitness center for those who have an active lifestyle at home and would like to exercise in paradise.
Guests have their pick of rooms, suites, and residences. A furnished lanai balcony gives you an overlooking view of the ocean and the mountains. Best view to wake up to in the morning! They mostly use natural decor, ample hardwood and natural fabrics to fully embody the soulful Hawaiian experience. If you want more space, you can choose a suite. But, if you want a secluded space, there are also residences that are conveniently located a few minutes walk from the resort.
